Little Hope for dialysis patients in hospital plan

Plans for desperately ill patients with liver failure will not meet future needs and even that maybe subject to further cost cutting. On Thursday night in the Victorian Parliament, Shadow Health Minister Georgie Crozier called for the State Government to specify how many dialysis chairs are included in the Albury Hospital revamp.
The original 2021 Master Plan projected the need for 27 dialysis chairs for the region but the latest planning for the $450m Albury makeover cut that to just 17. Even that plan is “subject to affordability within the project budget.”
