Urgent independent audit needed to fix contact tracing woes

The Andrews Labor Government’s failing contact tracing team must urgently undergo an independent audit to ensure Victoria beats its second wave of coronavirus.

A number of shortcomings within the state’s contact tracing team have been identified since the start of the pandemic including significant delays in speaking to close contacts and its failure to ask positive cases if the COVIDSafe app had been used.

The Andrews Labor Government has failed to manage the public health response through failures in its contact tracing.

The failures in the Andrews Labor Government’s contact tracing is on par to the hotel quarantine debacle that has led to this second wave that no other state is facing.

It’s no wonder Victorians are feeling let down by the Andrews Labor Government when it continually fails to get the basics right.

An independent audit would give Victorians the peace of mind that the right people with the right processes and procedures are in the driver’s seat to beat this virus.
