Industrial chaos under Daniel Andrews

Daniel Andrews is happy to march with his union mates but he goes missing in action when industrial action threatens public services in Victoria, says Shadow Minister for Industrial Relations Nick Wakeling.

Train drivers and rail staff are set to adopt a series of work bans, doctors are threatening to take action over a pay dispute, and now Daniel Andrews’ own Ministerial staff are also taking industrial action.

Melbourne’s train services and commuters will be hit by work bans commencing next week, and there is no end in sight to the dispute with the rail union.

Victoria’s public hospitals are facing a crisis with doctors threatening strike action due to claims of doctors being exploited and underpaid.

The CFMMEU has warned that industrial peace in the construction sector is over, threatening to disrupt government projects.

Meanwhile, the head of the Victorian Trades Hall and close ally of Daniel Andrews, Luke Hilakari is now openly defying his Labor boss and chanting that the CFMMEU’s John Setka is now “here to stay”.

Daniel Andrews likes to talk the talk on industrial relations, but he’s once again showing that he can’t walk the walk.

The Liberal Nationals call on Daniel Andrews to do his job and ensure Victoria’s public services aren’t eroded by industrial action.
