Postponing Victoria’s budget tells us that this is a bad budget that Labor is trying to hide from Victorians, says Opposition Leader Michael O’Brien.
Labor wants to hide its cuts, hide its new taxes and hide its doubling of debt.
That’s the only reason Daniel Andrews is covering up his state budget and pushing it back to late May.
Victorians deserve better.
Victorians deserve to know the truth about the state of our books.
We deserve to know the truth about the budget as originally planned on the 30th of April.
The fact is Daniel Andrews is simply doing this to cover up the truth, in order to try and help Bill Shorten’s election campaign.
Daniel Andrews doesn’t want Victorians to know what Labor’s bad economic management looks like as they’re about to vote in a federal election.
Under Daniel Andrews, Victoria is already the highest taxed state in the country.
We know the taxes are going to get worse and we know that Daniel Andrews wants to double Victoria’s debt.
This is all just a cover up by an arrogant Premier who doesn’t want Victorians to see the truth about his taxes, his debt and his cuts to services before people vote in the federal election.
