Nothing is sacred in Daniel Andrews’ Victoria – not even the sacrifices our servicemen and women made for our state and our country, says Shadow Minister for Veterans Tim McCurdy.
On Tuesday in Parliament, Daniel Andrews refused to answer who authorised polling conducted by his own department seeking opinions on changing the meaning of ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day.
ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day are not negotiable.
It seems Daniel Andrews’ own ideological agenda even trumps the sacrifices of our servicemen and women and includes stripping back everything about what it means to be Australian.
It’s unacceptable and it’s downright disrespectful to our Diggers.
Victorians are dealing with cost of living pressures, a massive crime problem and the highest unemployment rate in Australia, but Daniel Andrews’ own department is focused on changing ANZAC Day.
Is it any wonder Victorians are concerned we are heading in the wrong direction?
