Daniel Andrews can’t have his cake and eat it too

ACCORDING to Ernst & Young’s modelling for Labor’s ideological Victorian Renewable Energy Target, Victoria needs 25 times more gas supply for energy generation, says Shadow Energy Minister David Southwick.

Despite the desperate need for more gas supply to power Victoria and his reckless VRET, Daniel Andrews continues to ban safe conventional onshore gas.

According to Australian Energy Market Operator, Victoria is already facing a 50 per cent drop in gas supply by 2021 which would result in shortages and higher energy prices.

This is just yet another example of hypocrisy and lies from Daniel Andrews.

Victorians want to be able to cook their dinner and heat their homes, but under Daniel Andrews they won’t have the gas to do it.

The Australian Industry Group, Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association, the Grattan Institute, Shell Australia, Victorian businesses, struggling Victorian energy customers, and even Daniel Andrews’ mate Bill Shorten, all support the Liberal Nationals plan to make gas and energy cheaper while making sure fracking stays banned.

A Liberal Nationals Government will also abolish Labor’s go-it-alone renewable energy target of 40 per cent by 2025 designed to force coal power stations to close.

Daniel Andrews needs to stop dancing for Green votes and support the Liberal Nationals plan to make Victoria’s gas and energy more affordable.
