The sentences handed down to two violent criminals who shot a police officer in the head only days after they got out of jail symbolises everything that is currently frustrating Victorians.
Victorians are already deeply disgusted whenever there is a lack of respect for police officers and brazen violence towards them.  These brazen attacks on police, including just last weekend, shows just how lawless this state has become.
In 2014 the Coalition Government introduced minimum statutory prison terms for attacks on police officers, but we are now seeing too many instances of offenders exhibiting complete disrespect for law enforcement, including just this weekend when four officers were reportedly injured in the line of duty.
