Shadow Minister for Water, Peter Walsh
Background
Thirty diesel generators are being taken into Wonthaggi by stealth to prop up Daniel Andrews’ dud desal plant.
The Andrews Government is pushing on with its politically-motivated 50GL water order despite the healthy level of storages at the end of summer.
Melbourne’s water storages are at 67.7 per cent, while Geelong is at 70.7 per cent and Ballarat is 91.9 per cent.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Water Peter Walsh
Daniel Andrews needs to tell his Water Minister to cancel the $27 million water order and refund customers the $600 million they paid in so-called service fees over the past year.
Families have enough bills to pay without forking out for a desal order our storages don’t need and a dud plant that doesn’t work.
As well as saving customers’ money, Daniel Andrews could also save Victoria from all the emissions his diesel generators will emit.
