Proposed Werribee South Youth SuperMax Facility

The Liberal Nationals do not support a SuperMax youth justice facility at Werribee South.
We believe that the best location for a new youth justice SuperMax facility would be nearby to an existing correctional facility.
There are several correctional facilities across the state including at Malmsbury and Fulham which have the space for an additional facility nearby to hold dangerous youth offenders.
Any decision to build a new SuperMax facility in Victoria must have community support and genuine consultation must be done prior to the decision being made.
