Shadow Minister for Community Safety, Edward O’Donohue
Federal Labor Leader Bill Shorten has admitted what Daniel Andrews refuses to – the law and order crisis in Victoria is out of control and the justice system is fundamentally broken.
Speaking on radio yesterday, Bill Shorten said:
“You shouldn’t be able to just get bail the same way in which lesser matters, people who do lesser matters get bail. So we’ve got to firm up the bail laws.”
“I don’t think we need too many more reviews. We know the problem. We just need to toughen up on the offenders.”
(Bill Shorten interview with Ray Hadley, Sydney Radio 2GB, 8/2/17)
Victoria’s crime tsunami is out of Daniel Andrews’ control and he has no solutions to fix it.
Not even Daniel Andrews’ own Labor colleagues are willing to defend his paralysis and soft approach to violent offenders.
Enough is enough, how many more people are going to be put in danger before Daniel Andrews admits what everybody else knows and takes action?
