Shadow Minister for Families and Children, Georgie Crozier
Last night Daniel Andrews’ Commissioner for Children and Young People, Liana Buchanan, tweeted comments suggesting that the Apex gang and violent youth crime in Victoria was a myth and non-existent.
In the last two years under Daniel Andrews, assaults are up 13%, robbery is up 22%, burglaries and break and enters are up 14, theft is up 18% and Victoria has become the car theft capital of the nation, with 37% of all car thefts happen in the state.
Not only does Ms Buchanan have a clear conflict of interest, as a former senior adviser to Attorney-General Rob Hulls, she was an architect of many of the weak Labor policies and appointments that continue to harm community safety, she is in denial of reality.
Quotes attributable to Shadow Minister for Families and Children Georgie Crozier
“Liana Buchanan has shown Victorians what Daniel Andrews and Labor really think about the law and order crisis plaguing the community.
“Violent crimes are at record highs right across the state, but all Labor has to say is ‘nothing to see here’
“If Daniel Andrews is going to appoint Labor mates, he should at least try to appoint mates that are in basic touch with reality.
