Shadow Minister for Education, Nick Wakeling
Reports that teachers will wear pro-refugee t-shirts in their classrooms as part of national campaign to close off-shore detention camps will alarm many parents.
Through his social engineering program, Daniel Andrews has given a green light for activist teachers to push their own political agenda onto our children.
The classroom isn’t a soapbox for activist teachers to force their political views on our children.
Parents would be rightly concerned that while both international and national testing shows our education standards have flatlined and in some cases gone backwards, teachers are more occupied with making political statements.
Instead of creating schools of division, Daniel Andrews must immediately remind teachers that their job is to teach their students how to read, write and count, not treat our children as political playthings.
