Shadow Minister for Public Transport, David Hodgett
Figures released today show that the Night Network program is more of a taxpayer Nightmare, not a Night Network.
The Public Transport Victoria Annual Report reveals that the program is costing taxpayers $83 million a year but only 35,000 people use it on average every weekend.
That means it’s costing taxpayers an average of around $45 per passenger. It would be cheaper to give every passenger a voucher with Uber.
Daniel Andrews is throwing taxpayer money around like confetti to buy himself a couple of headlines.
