Shadow Minister for Emergency Services, Brad Battin
Reports that Daniel Andrews’ handpicked CEO of the CFA, Ms Francis Diver, will be soon leaving after just four months in the job and on the eve of the bushfire season, is yet another chapter in this debacle which is all of the Premier’s making.
The ink on Ms Diver’s business cards has barely dried and we are now looking for the fourth CEO of the CFA in a matter of months.
Daniel Andrews has done untold damage to the CFA and its ability to keep Victorians safe and to protect property.
The departure of Ms Diver, on the eve of the bushfire season, means Victorians have now lost over 300 years of emergency services experience because of Daniel Andrews’ ham-fisted handling of the CFA dispute.
This is not the way to run our emergency services. Victorians deserve better than this.
