It seems that everyone, except Daniel Andrews, knows that the East West Link should be built.
Every Victorian should be angry that Daniel Andrews spent $1.2 billion not to build this new freeway. Even Infrastructure Victoria agrees it should be built.
Melbournians are sick of plans and politics, they want action. If Daniel Andrews hadn’t torn up the East West Link contract, wasting $1.2 billion it would now be almost half-completed.
Melbourne is the fastest growing city in Australia, it makes no sense to refuse to fix the Eastern Freeway and consider tolling the existing freeway after paying $1.2 billion not to extend and upgrade it.
