Many Victorians will be deeply concerned by reports today that an accused rapist has had his conviction quashed on a legal technicality and is out on bail.

This is at a time when Victorians are already scared for their safety under Daniel Andrews with new reports every day of violent crimes on our streets.

Victorians would be forgiven for thinking they were in the grip of a crime tsunami.

Crime statistics released today confirm this fear, with overall crime up 13.4% in the last year as a result of Daniel Andrews’ cuts to frontline police and weakening of bail laws.

We’ve got a crisis in our justice system in Victoria and Daniel Andrews is too pig-headed to listen.
