Shadow Minister for Police, Edward O’Donohue
Shootings on Victorian streets have become depressingly common on the Andrews Government’s watch.
The fatal shooting of a man in broad daylight in a shopping centre car park is now the latest in a long string of violent gun crimes that have beset Victoria.
Over the past year weapons and explosives offences have jumped by 18.5%, carjackings have increased by 80% and home invasions are happening almost daily and Daniel Andrews’ only response to this spate of violent crime has been to shut police stations and ban mooning.
Enough is enough. Daniel Andrews must stop ignoring the spate of violent crimes hitting Victoria and take action to keep the community safe.
