Shadow Minister for Police, Edward O’Donohue
Police reports that there has been another Melbourne carjacking shows Daniel Andrews is out of his depth on law and order.
According to Victoria Police, a man got out of a vehicle at Chadstone Shopping Centre, armed with a firearm, and approached the victim demanding he hand over his car keys.
Despite this violent crime wave with carkjackings up 80%, Daniel Andrews has cut frontline police numbers and allowed police stations to close or reduce their operational hours.
The Liberal Nationals were first to propose a separate carjacking offence in Victoria which was passed in the Upper House but then rejected by Daniel Andrews, Labor and the Greens.
Melbourne is caught in the grip of a violent crime wave because Daniel Andrews is too weak to properly manage law and order.
