Labor playing catch up on community safety

Under Daniel Andrews, car jackings are up 80%, frontline police have been cut and police stations have either been closed or had their opening hours reduced.

Yet again Daniel Andrews is playing catch up on community safety initiatives. On the day the Government belatedly introduces carjacking legislation, the Liberal Nationals will be debating the carjacking bill that we first introduced to the Parliament back in June.

Daniel Andrews is leading a divided and dysfunctional government that is more focused on itself than it is on the law and order crisis currently gripping Victoria. It’s time he got his priorities right.
