Daniel Andrews’ appointment of Peter Sammut as CEO for the Western Distributor Authority, the same man behind the botched desal plant, shows Labor has learnt nothing.
The desal plant was a project characterised by bad planning, budget blow- outs and poor management.
To reward one of the key figures behind the botched desal plant with this new position shows that Daniel Andrews is prepared to bring the same dysfunctional circus to the Western Distributor project.
The desal plant is a symbol of Labor’s mismanagement and incompetence and Victorians will be alarmed that Daniel Andrews has risked billions of taxpayers dollars on this decision.
What will Daniel Andrews do next? Appoint the team behind Myki to build the Metro Rail project?
