Shadow Minister for Industrial Relations, Robert Clark
Daniel Andrews has today been caught trying to sell out CFA volunteers in a secret backroom deal at the same time as he’s been telling them publicly they’ve got nothing to worry about.
Premier Andrews has been telling volunteers there’s nothing in the agreement that affects them, while at the same time he was trying to get the President of Fair Work to cut a backroom deal so he could force the CFA to sell out their volunteers.
At the same time as he was praising Commissioner Roe as an “independent umpire”, the Premier had his chief bureaucrat Chris Eccles go behind the umpire’s back to try to do a secret deal to undermine the umpire’s recommendations.
Legal experts are now warning that the Premier’s secret back room dealing could put the entire Fair Work process at risk of legal challenge.
Daniel Andrews needs to immediately come clean and explain his actions in trying to orchestrate this secret deal behind the backs of CFA volunteers.
How can Victorians have any confidence there’s been an independent, impartial, process when Daniel Andrews been caught red handed trying to stitch up volunteers with a secret backroom deal?
