Congratulations and commiserations to Marlene Kairouz on her appointment as Minister for Consumer Affairs.
An appointment to the ministry is a great honour and privilege.
But as former minister Jane Garrett discovered, being a female minister under Daniel Andrews means your opinions aren’t respected.
In just 24 hours last week, Daniel Andrews got rid of two senior women, not because they weren’t competent but because they weren’t compliant.
I hope Daniel Andrews treats Marlene with more respect then he gave to her predecessor.
