Shadow Minister for Public Transport, David Hodgett
Public Transport Minister Jacinta Allan has today been exposed as having no ideas to improve the ticketing system for public transport in Victoria such as credit card tap-on.
At Parliament’s Public Accounts and Estimates hearings today, Jacinta Allan was unable to provide any new ideas on how to improve the beleaguered Myki system.
There are reports that Jacinta Allan is about to sign-up Victorians for another decade of Myki without even considering other system operators such as London’s proven Oyster card.
Jacinta Allan today refused to commit to any improvements in the system. Even the most simple of improvements such as smart phone applications to easily top-up or the ability to use tap-and-go credit card technology are all apparently too ambitious for Jacinta Allan who could not name one single improvement she was asking for as part of her new Myki deal.
Victorians deserve better than to be saddled with a Minister who has no ideas to improve public transport.
Jacinta Allan is clearly either incompetent or deliberately trying to deceive Victorians about her secret Myki deal.
