Education Standards Going Backwards

Reports today confirm that education quality is going backwards under Daniel Andrews and James Merlino.
A report by the Australian Council for Educational Research has shown that education standards are now in steady decline.
Despite record funding of billions of dollars over the past decade, literacy and numeracy standards continue to fall in our schools. The research has found that this additional funding has not had any positive impact on outcomes and an evidence-based solution is now needed.
So long as Daniel Andrews maintains his obsession with forcing his own social values on other people’s children and ignores literacy and numeracy standards, Victorian children will continue to suffer.
The first education priority of any government should be to teach our children English and mathematics at a high-standard.
The Andrews Government’s obsession with pushing its social agenda in Victorian schools will not arrest this decline and it will not give our children the education they need to prepare them for adulthood.
Daniel Andrews promised that he would ‘put people first’, but instead he is just playing politics with our children’s futures.
