Shadow Minister for Public Transport, David Hodgett
The Auditor-General has today found that the Andrews Government has no business case for its $6 billion level crossing removal program.
Not only has Daniel Andrews failed to complete a business case for this $6 billion spend but he has ignored VicRoads’ advice on which level crossings require priority removal. Instead Daniel Andrews is giving priority to level crossings like that at Werribee Street which sees only one train pass through every two hours.
Daniel Andrews and Jacinta Allan sat around the Cabinet table and gave the green light to Myki, a project that blew-out by almost 100%. Now Daniel Andrews and Jacinta Allan are asking Victorians to just trust them to deliver a project worth ten-times that amount without any business case.
Victorians will be rightly concerned that Daniel Andrews’ level crossing removals are putting politics first and people second.
