Shadow Minister for Public Transport, David Hodgett
More than 12 months after announcing the Metro Rail project, Daniel Andrews released a heavily redacted business case.
Only nine weeks ago, Daniel Andrews provided a copy of the business case and an invoice for $4.5 billion to the Turnbull Government, just an hour before holding a press conference demanding funding.
This is the same Metro Rail proposal which Daniel Andrews hasn’t submitted to his own agency, Infrastructure Victoria, for assessment.
After a 12 month wait for the business case and just nine weeks after giving it to the Turnbull Government, Daniel Andrews now says he can’t wait any longer for an answer.
No serious leader could properly suggest that a government should hand over $4.5 billion just two months after the proposal has been presented.
Daniel Andrews sat around the Cabinet table that approved the desalination plant and Myki and it appears as though he has learnt nothing since.
