Guns flooding into Victoria and fewer police on the beat

Under Daniel Andrews the number of police on the beat has been slashed despite Victorian crime rates, such as gun offences, being at record levels.

Weapons offences have skyrocketed 17% and there have been almost daily shootings in Melbourne in recent weeks.  Earlier this month, there were 15 shootings in just six days.

Unless Daniel Andrews takes urgent action to give the police the resources they need to make our streets safe, it is only a matter of time before an innocent person is hit by gunfire.

New South Wales has tough penalties for criminals who risk the lives of innocent people when using guns. Daniel Andrews needs to strengthen our laws so that criminals in Victoria know there is a strong deterrent for putting innocent people at risk.

Daniel Andrews is cutting cops on the beat and closing police stations, while crime skyrockets with drive-by shootings, home invasions and gang riots.
