Today’s jobs figures confirm that Victoria’s economy is stalling under Daniel Andrews.
But while Victoria’s job market is struggling, New South Wales continues to power ahead under Premier Mike Baird who has created 110,735 full-time jobs created since December 2014.
Daniel Andrews put his first budget into deficit, has ratcheted up more debt and is wasting valuable taxpayer money such as his decision to tear up the East West Link contract at a cost of $1.1 billion.  This is why the Victorian economy is drifting while New South Wales powers ahead creating tens of thousands of more full-time jobs.
In Victoria, the unemployment rate of 6.0% remains above the national average of 5.8%.
This month, Victoria gained 11,436 full-time jobs, with 6,458 fewer persons unemployed.
Before the election Daniel Andrews promised 100,000 full-time jobs within two years. But since December 2014 there have only been 40,591 full-time jobs created in Victoria.
Fourteen months in and Daniel Andrews should have created 58,333 full-time jobs according to his promise, but with ten months remaining he is 59,409 jobs short of his target.
Meanwhile, New South Wales has already exceeded Daniel Andrews target with 110,735 full-time jobs created since December 2014.
