The fact is, Daniel Andrews has walked away from a commitment to fund the additional $806 million required under the final two years of the Gonski agreement with the former government.
In November 2014 the former Napthine Coalition Government committed to the full agreement but Daniel Andrews has failed to match it.  That leaves an $806 million funding hole created by Daniel Andrews’ failure to live up to his end of the bargain.
If Daniel Andrews was serious about making Victoria the education state, he would explain why he is not going to fund his share of Gonski instead of pointing the finger of blame at everyone except himself.
Daniel Andrews thinks nothing of wasting $1.1 billion for a political solution on the East West Link, but won’t spend any additional funds for education.
