Shadow Minister for Roads and Infrastructure, Ryan Smith
Today’s attempt by the Andrews Labor Government to pass off the completion of the Darebin-Yarra Trail as a new project is just another sobering reminder that Daniel Andrews has no infrastructure plan for Victoria.
In December 2012 the former Coalition Government announced that it was fully funding a project to connect the missing link between the Darebin Creek Cycling Trail and the Main Yarra Cycling Trail.
It was because of this $18million commitment after 11 years of neglect by Labor that the missing link will be completed.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Infrastructure Ryan Smith
“This is just another lame attempt by Daniel Andrews to try and distract from the simple truth that he has no funded infrastructure projects for Victoria.
If Daniel Andrews hadn’t wasted more than $1billion dollars of taxpayer money to scrap the East West Link he could be getting on with building new infrastructure instead of holding media stunts”
