The Coalition welcomes the release of this report.
The Hazelwood Mine Fire was an unprecedented event where all government departments and agencies did their best to respond.
The Coalition introduced a range of measures and initiatives to address these concerns, many of which were health related. The inquiry has identified further opportunities for improvement.
The health and well-being of the people in the Latrobe Valley is paramount. We will work with the Government to make sure that the community is looked after.
We will also work with the Government to ensure that the review’s recommendations are fully-implemented.
