Victoria’s youth unemployment rate has risen under the Andrews Labor Government, with figures released today showing there are now 75,500 young people without a job.
Victoria’s youth unemployment rate is at 14.7 per cent, despite Daniel Andrews’ promise to create 100,000 new full-time jobs.
Shadow Minister for Young Victorians Steph Ryan:
“Today’s figures show Daniel Andrews’ Back to Work scheme has totally failed young Victorians, with 1,000 more youth unemployed now than when Labor came to office.”
“These figures make a mockery of Daniel Andrews’ promise that every job is worth fighting for.”
“Daniel Andrews should be explaining to the 75,500 young people without a job how he is fighting for them.”
