Shadow Minister for Industrial Relations, Robert Clark
If this merger goes ahead, it will be bad news for Victoria.
It will bring together two militant unions that treat the law with contempt and cost jobs and opportunities around the country.
Labour force figures show Victoria has already lost 7,800 full-time jobs since Labor took office 10 months ago. We need conditions that will let Victoria grow jobs, not shed jobs.
Premier Daniel Andrews has already shown he can’t or won’t stand up to the CFMEU, and if these unions merge he will be even more under their thumb.
