Resignation of CFA Chair Claire Higgins

There are serious questions for Daniel Andrews around the sudden resignation of the Chair of the Country Fire Authority.

Claire Higgins has advised this morning that her resignation is effective immediately and that the reasons for the resignation from the CFA “are my own”.

Clearly this spells serious trouble between Daniel Andrews and the way he is treating the volunteer firefighting organisation in Victoria.

Today’s sudden resignation only serves to strengthen fears of growing dissent about Daniel Andrews backing union plans to impose power and influence over the volunteer firefighting service.
